For Pennies for Patients, we have raised over $2500 so far. The following are the top three homerooms, in random order, for each grade level. Remember, the top homeroom at DMS will receive a pizza and soda party. Each grade level top homeroom will receive a candy/donut/cake (your choice) and soda party.
Turn in any money that you have today to Ms. Whirley after announcements. 6th grade teachers, please set your boxes outside your door so they may be collected. New boxes are in Ms. Whirley's room for businesses. Please let her know if you need any. We will have a hat day on Thursday (if this is okay with Dr. Faulkner). Bracelets will be sold as well as stickers.
As you all have heard, this Thursday, the Student Council will be hosting its Spring Fling! This will not just be a dance, but will also include a Hang Out Room, with quieter music than in the gym, and a Movie room. Also, we will have a Just Dance room, a Karaoke Room, and a Corn Hole competition.
We will be selling armbands until Wednesday in the bus rooms and at lunch. When you buy your armband, the Student Council member will write your name and your lunch teacher on an armband, and place it in a bag. On Thursday, during your lunch class, the representatives will then pass out the armbands to their owner.
Members, if you signed up to bring supplies, please bring them to the gym concessions stand when Mrs. Minnis is there. The drop off times are Wednesday, March 12, from 7:25 until 7:45 in the morning, and 3:15 until 5:00 that afternoon.
Student Council elected Representatives only will have a Spring Fling preparation meeting and run-through on Wednesday to finalize plans and make sure everything goes as planned. Members, please report to the gym at the 7th & 8th Grade building after the second bell. The meeting will be from 3:15 until 5:00.
Teachers, Mrs. Shoulders has graciously setup electronic forms for you to submit your recipients for Awards Night. Please make every effort to get this information submitted before Thursday afternoon.
Beta Club members, there will be a meeting today until 4 p.m.
LEAPS boys in the 7th grade will begin today riding Bus 9. The 6th graders riding Bus 32 over to Buckner will now be riding Bus 34.
7th and 8th graders, no food or drink in the gym/bus room in the morning.
